What Do Demons' Souls and Final Fantasy Type-0 Have in Common?

When it comes down to main story content, Type-0 really isn’t a very long game. Including both the prologue and final dungeons, the main story sports only ten dungeons, with most 30 to 40 minutes long. However, the recommended level for each dungeon is usually four to five levels higher than the last one.

So let’s do some quick and dirty math: If we say a total of 15 hours is spent on plot-related gameplay in addition to story cutscenes over the 50-hour game, then you spend three times as much time leveling your fourteen characters as you do playing the actual game story. That’s a crushing grind even for an old-school Final Fantasy.

Upon completing the game, going through again on new game plus does offer a plethora of side missions, but I can't help but wish they were available on the first playthrough to give me something to do instead of just grinding.

Multiplayer and Final Fantasy RTS!?
